1971 Norton Commando fastback 750cc

Excellent matching numbers fast-back Commando. Just come out of 23 year ownership, sold due to age. Has been fitted with the excellent Alton electric starter which works beautifully. Other mods include single carb conversion, upgraded alternator (part of Alton system), upgraded battery. Superblend layshaft bearing. Anti wet sumping tap (incorporating an ignition kill switch).

Engine sound beautiful, it's perfectly mechanically quiet. Gears and clutch all spot on. Rev counter and speedo (the original "green-spots") all good.

Excellent centre stand and sidestand. Recently new Road rider tyres. Petrol tank was a recent new old stock replacement and was sealed before use.

A  terrific example of the early award winning Commando with the excellent starter upgrade.
