1962 Velocette Venom Clubman, 500cc

This has to be one of the best examples of a genuine, matching engine, frame & registration Velocette Venom Clubmans.

The bike is most simply described as like new. It was restored some time ago to this remarkable standard, having been a low mileage example that had clearly led a sheltered life until its restoration.

The bike starts well and sounds like new mechanically. It's mechanically silent. Excellent oil circulation, excellent compression, lovely gear change and well set up clutch. Brakes are excellent, smooth and powerful. The charging system is working (still 6V) and the lights and horn are good. Smith's grey face type chronometric speedometer is working as believed to show the correct mileage of 24,000 but this cannot be verified. This is a very well restored well put together example in pristine condition. Engine & frame numbers match the original buff log book & factory record supplied by Grove Classics.
