1955 Triumph 6T Thunderbird 650cc

This 1955 6T Thunderbird was restored by previous owner around 25 years ago. It was used on runs and events and shows but has suffered from long-term storage . The magneto doesn't spark. This may be the reason the bike was laid up. I think 6T models from this period used distributors so either go back to distributor or possible fit electronic ignition could be the way forward.

The engine turns over OK but sounds dry and I'm sure will need a strip and clean out at the very least.

Historic Taxation , free road tax, MOT exempt. Tank has been linered with petseal which is dry flaking off. This will need addressing.

Cosmetically the paintwork is all still very good, the enamel on the frame is good and there would be no need for complete strip down of this bike. It will need thorough recommission and better rims, exhaust and thorough clean & polish to tidy up. Tank (loosely fitted) has been linered with petseal which is dry flaking off. This will need addressing. Good side & centre stands fitted.

This is a project but only what I would call a light project.

Price to reflect work needed at only £3650
