1957 AJS 18S 500cc.Original & Unrestored.

Here is an amazingly well preserved original and unrestored AJS 18S from 1957, which was an excellent year for these superb traditionl big British singles.

All original paintwork & transfers, original seat etc. Starts well sounds fantastic. Charging OK on original 6V set up.

Fabulous to ride. 39,000 on clock and it feels like new compared to many restored examples. Goes to show you these bikes generally covered huge mileage in their first 10 years of life.

Rims are quite poor chrome wise but the rest is lovely original patina. This bike was in this same skin when Jailhouse Rock was first released ! An unbelievable "time-capsule"

They really don;t come around in this original unrestored condition very often.
